Description
“This is my most recent painting and the second one of Lower Fishguard Harbour. Fishguard itself is such a fascinating place. Separated into 3 distinct areas, Fishguard Bay (Goodwick) where the ferries go to Rosslare in Ireland, Upper town perching on top of the hill and Lower Town which is home to the picturesque Harbour known as Lower Fishguard or Cwm Harbour. The harbour is steeped in history and more recently, used for the filming of Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood. and many other films. Not surprising as the location is quaint, beautiful with the lovely colour-washed cottages all along the harbour wall. I never get tired of visiting Fishguard as with all the harbours along this beautiful coastline, it’s ever-changing, fascinating and tranquil.” Lynda Griffiths
