Welcome Minu Achrekar to New Art Gallery
We are thrilled to introduce a remarkable new artist, Minu Achrekar, to our vibrant arts and crafts community. Minu’s journey in the world of art is as diverse and inspiring as her creations.
About Minu: Born and raised in India, Minu’s early exposure to creativity within her family laid the foundation for her artistic endeavours. Despite a detour into an academic career in healthcare spanning over 25 years in the UK, Minu’s passion for art never waned. She returned to painting a few years ago, exploring various mediums until she discovered the enchanting world of alcohol inks.
Philanthropy Through Art: Minu’s commitment to using art for a greater purpose is evident in her exhibitions. The success of her 2018 exhibition, where she raised funds for charities in India and England, fuelled her desire to make a positive impact in the world of art. Even in the midst of the pandemic, she organized an online exhibition in 2020, supporting a children’s charity.
Exhibitions and Achievements: Minu’s artistic journey has taken her to solo exhibitions, international shows, and prestigious events like the Flux exhibition in London. Her work has been showcased in venues such as Heart in Headingley, Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton, and the Nehru Centre in Mumbai, India.
