Natalie Heslin,

I began my work as a pet portrait artist which I enjoyed immensely but wanted to push myself so I became a wildlife artist.
I always try to pick subjects which will challenge and frustrate me because that’s all part of the fun!
I work mainly in charcoal as this helps me to push the lights and darks of a drawing as far as I possibly can.
I have been working for around 3 years on and off but am finally ready to take on some bigger challenges.
One of my more ambitious dreams is to draw a gigantic octopus and captivate the viewer feel as though they could be swallowed whole at any moment. I’m not that talented yet but until then, Ill keep practicing!
