Lita Narayan

Artist statement

Lita studied a Foundation course at Bolton Art College in the late 70’s but is mostly self-taught as a painter. Her work is inspired by her love of the northern countryside and the landscapes and architecture of other places that she has visited.

Lita says that “a visual scene, or the atmosphere of a town or city, must ‘move’ me in some way; it is a right hemisphere thing and I find it hard to put it into words”.
