“I have been creating for many years, I have tried my hands at a number of medium. From sewing to glass cutting. But the discipline that enables me to express myself the most is painting in acrylic. I love the vibrancy of colour that you can achieve to really make the painting sing. (It also helps to stop my cat from making a mess after walking over it.) I have always enjoyed painting portraits, adding the last bit of shine in the eyes to bring them to life and the right amount of shading to give more depth. A way to showcase the beauty, not only of people, but in the process of painting itself. Adding the flowers came instinctively, as I think that we all share admiration for the natural world. Adding them to my creations embraces the beauty both in flora, form and people.”
