‘Farewell Swallows’ by Gill Bustamante

“Farewell Swallows” is a large painting of two swallows in a semi-abstract English countryside landscape. Two swallows have burst through the trees moving impossibly fast as swallows
do. The painting is an actual place in East Sussex.  I painted the scene deliberately recognizable and yet a little odd as this better reflects the beautiful timelessness and otherworldliness of some of the areas I walk in.
