Description
Summer Spirit is an hazy abstract landscape oil painting
that hints of a shadowy late summer meadow and trees. It is 36x24x1.5 inches. A
transparent swallow can be seen to the right and behind her you can see the
suggestion of out of focus flowers, trees and a meadow. It captures a moment
from a summer walk in Mayfield – made from memory which retains the feel of it more
that the accuracy of the meadow I was in. The colours range through violet,
green, yellow, pink and blue. The aim of this painting was to express the
sensation of looking at a landscape with eyes partly shut. The swallow is the
spirit of summer as they come to the UK during summertime and represent summer
to me. Painted on deep edge canvas, edges white, ready to hang and comes with
