Nature Weaves a Spell is a very large oil on canvas painting in abstract vs realism style of kingfishers and by a river.  Two kingfishers can be seen above the river which flows towards us from the left out of a lake. In the distance you can see hills and trees whilst in the foreground are the birds and an abundance of wildflowers on each side of the river. The interplay of abstract and realism gives this painting a magical, ethereal and spell binding quality. 

It was inspired by the occasional sightings of real kingfishers who look like tiny river jewels to me and by plenty of river walks in the countryside during the summertime.

The canvas is an extra strong gallery quality on an aluminium frame. The edges are wide meaning framing not necessary and the edges are painted dark green.
