Description
‘Aldeburgh’
‘The endless beach of pebbles. A dramatic sunlit sky. The sea boiling because of the strong wind blowing in off the North Sea – and a lighthouse.
All very Benjamin Britten.
The scene was everything I hoped the the coast of Aldeburgh in Suffolk would be, on a cold October day last year. Painting the pebbles nearly tipped me over the edge. but I think I created the effect I was trying to achieve and I think the grey and gold of the frames complete the aesthetic perfectly. I love how the beach seems to stretch to infinity. Mike Lord
