“A beautiful and almost ethereal white swan floats dreamily through an urban abstract backdrop in this painting in my ‘Urban Jungle’ series.  Exploring the nature of creatures who have learned to adapt to living in close proximity to humans, these paintings have an industrial style feel, while at the same time depicting nature at its most beautiful and enigmatic, this one on the waterways and canals of our cities and towns.

By accident or by choice, creatures like this swan have found their homes alongside us in our urban and industrial areas, and bring the wild with them into these places.

Painted in acrylics on canvas, the reflections and urban feel brings texture and interest, along with highlights of metallic paints which catch the light and shimmer in reflection.” Helen Worthington
